76 Year old man loses home Bedford NS

My name is Scott Allison I work for Exit Realty metro and the OptimumGroup and I am currently the listing agent for my client Walter Fowler from Bedford at 27 Union Street who was flooded by the Sackville River. His home has been extensively damaged by floods. Walter is without any flood insurance and will not be able to repair his home. We are seeking help or donations of any kind in terms of remediation.

They had planned to sell the house and move to rural Cape Breton however they will not be able to do this now without funds from the sale. We are hoping our community can reach out here and help. Walter has three generations living with him and they are also affected by this disaster.

We are hoping the funds can be used to repair the roof and remediate the damage caused by the flood and any issues associated with the flood.

Currently, they are living in a home with no power running water or a working car as it was also flooded out.
