Going Bald... (for charity)

Anyone who has known me for a while knows I have been growing my hair for the best part of 13 years. Just prior to lockdown I made the decision that I wanted to donate it and raise money for charity. Cancer has affected several people close to me, and I have therefore chosen to support The Little Princess Trust and The Christie.

The Little Princess Trust (where I will be donating my hair and any cash donations) provides real hair wigs free of charge to children and young people who have lost their hair through cancer treatments and other conditions. The Christie are Manchester's leading cancer research, care and education experts, and all the money from this gofundme will be donated there.

I will be holding an event which is open to everyone at 7pm on Monday 28th November in The Lower Turks Head in Manchester, M4 1EZ (opposite Shudehill Bus Station) where the hair I will donate will be cut off.

This is nerve-wracking for me to do as I've had long hair for a long time, but I want to raise as much money as possible for these two fantastic charities. Please donate as much as you can, and I will update this page with before and after photos after the event.
