Carole Anne's journey to remission!

Carole Anne Conner is probably the sweetest, kindest, and most thoughtful person you will ever meet in your life. She is always pleasant, kind, and thoughtful. Carole Anne listens to your stories and remembers every detail. She will send you a card, even when it’s not your birthday. She will bake her famous chocolate chip cookies and leave them in your mailbox if you are lucky. She will pray for you when you are struggling or have lost someone and celebrate when you get a promotion or have a happy life event. She sees you and makes you feel special. She NEVER expects anything in return. In fact, she doesn’t like anyone to make a fuss over her. She is the person we all try to be more like.

As most of you know, in January of 2021 after many years of her Lymphoma being in remission, Carole Anne received news that she now had a rare form of T-Cell Lymphoma. She immediately began chemo, which required a 5-day hospital stay every three weeks for almost five months. Since that regiment ended, she has continued treatments and has handled it with the utmost grace, courage and faith that astonishes and amazes all of us. After an 18-month leave of absence from work, Carole Anne had to leave her job and lost medical benefits. She enrolled in COBRA, but premiums are staggering and at this time, keeping the level of health care required to get her to remission is essential. We have been asked by so many friends and family throughout her journey, “what can we do for Carole?”. Although cards, flowers and care packages are lovely and appreciated, right now, donations to help offset medical and COBRA costs are the most helpful.
