We need to make sure this wonderful organizer gets her car paid for!
Katrina is an INCREDIBLE fat, neurodivergent Black woman with chronic illness who has been organizing in Vermont for years. A product of rural Vermont, she has an unparalleled dedication to caring for herself and her community, and she truly embodies community support and power every day.
It is helpful and necessary for her to have access to a vehicle so she can get around, both so she can drive herself and so she has a vehicle accessible when she cannot drive and someone else needs to help. She has managed various debilitating & complex chronic illnesses (with symptoms ranging from chronic fatigue & memory loss to limited mobility & nerve pain) since 2014. To do so, she spends between 10-15 hours per week receiving treatments (not including travel & recovery time) from a team of 4-6 practitioners, and having a car is integral both to her healing and work. She is an inspiration! Help us pay off her car!
