If you and I are friends on Facebook then you know I rarely post anything. But this is different. This is about the best people I know, my sister and her husband, Kim & Sherman Jones of South Coffeyville, OK. Kim & Sherman are well respected members of our community and have been teachers their entire adult careers. Currently they both teach at Oklahoma Union High School and are loved by students and staff alike.
Their Story
Recently, we found out that Kim has Stage 4 Breast Cancer and that it has metastasized into her liver. She is currently undergoing treatment. All of you who have been where we are now know this to be a contemptible disease that takes a toll, not only on the person suffering from cancer, but on that persons entire family and their friends. This toll is not only financially taxing, but also mentally, emotionally & spiritually taxing as well.
How You Can Help
In that regard we, her loving family, are asking for your prayers, especially on Kim's and Sherman's behalf, but also for their family of 4 adult children plus spouses and their 9 grandchildren. We feel this would be of the greatest help to them. However, any and all donations to help defray a portion of the cost of treating this horrible disease would also be greatly appreciated.
