Children for Children of Ukraine

We are launching an initiative where UK school children prepare personalised gift boxes, which include handwritten letters, hand drawn pictures, sweets, and stationery, to be  then delivered to Ukrainian refugee children arriving into Poland and the UK, supported by SOS Children Villages Charity. 

The conflict in Ukraine has displaced and orphaned many children from their homes, forcing them to seek refuge with friends, family and shelters in neighbouring countries.  A drive of compassion and empathy, especially from other children, will go a long way in showing the much needed support these children need in such trying and traumatic times. 

The project was first embraced by Francis Holland School in London, where all girls from junior school will participate in this activity, coordinated by their teachers, and supported by parent volunteers.  For this specific event, all items for the gift boxes were kindly sponsored by www.bluealmonds.co.uk .  Parallel to this activity, we ask parents if they could make a financial donation to our partner charity - SOS Children Villages UK for their Ukraine Emergency Relief Program. 

We are inviting other London schools to join this project and encourage parents to spread the word about this initiative further. We greatly appreciate your support.
