Hello my friends, family and friends that are now family…. As many of you know my husband, Scott Gomes was recently diagnosed with liver and throat cancer. Which isn’t too bad within itself…but that is the metastatic cancer… We are on a mission to find the original cancer… so we can fight it, kick its ass and get back to living.

What is frustrating is that for 30 years with CalFire the insurance that we have paid into is denying tests that are needed to do that.

WE ARE BLESSED, HUMBLED AND SO APPRECIATIVE of all the offers of food, positive thoughts, prayers and so much more. It’s going to be a hard fight.. but, we are ready for it.

The outpouring of love.. well wishes..prayers.. ect is very humbling. It is hard for us to take.. because we usually are the helpers and the givers.

With all the offers… I figured I would put this out there…

One of my favorite sayings is it takes a village.. my Scotty has helped many a villages… from baseball, football and basketball coaching.. to having young mixed up paroles come up to me after graduating from Cal Fire and saying Captain Gomes has changed my life. He showed me the right path…gave me a chance and mentored me like no one has. You and your boys are blessed… YES WE ARE.

So, I figured, after all the offers here you go.

We are blessed.. and so very thankful.
