Surgery for Lucas

Lucas, the adventure dog, is going in for surgery today to correct the improper setting of a pin in a broken femur bone. The bone wasn't aligned, which was quickly deteriorating any real chance of him being able to fully use that leg again. Unfortunately, the cost for this operation is estimated at $4,000. With the original surgery being $1,100 and an additional $250 for the exam by a different vet who discovered the improper placement of the pin, this journey is now close to $5,500. A number I can hardly fathom.

My hope and energy is focused into the possibility that this surgery will finally put Lucas on track towards regaining most of the original use of his leg. Because that guy is an adventure dog! And him and I have a lot of things still to do!

It's awkward for me to post a GoFundMe. I'm not so good at asking for help. But I know so many of you love Lucas and if you feel compelled to donate that is incredible. Even the love, messages, and checking on his progress that I've been receiving from all of you the last few weeks has been more amazing than I have words for. It warms my heart how much Lucas is loved.
