Help Beth Pay for Her Cat's Medical Expenses

Hi there, my name is Beth Libert and I am fundraising to pay for medical expenses for my cat Beauregard, or Beau for short. On November 5, 2021 it was clear that Beau wasn't acting like himself. He was lethargic, had no appetite, and was clearly ill, so I took him to my regular vet. The vet ordered bloodwork which came back to tell that Beau had diabetes and was already in diabetic ketoacidosis which is a life-threatening condition (his blood sugar was 21). The vet decided that the Beau had to be transferred to an emergency animal hospital immediately to be put on an IV. At the point at which I arrived at the animal hospital that Beau had been transferred to (where I couldn't enter the clinic due to Covid restrictions), the hospital staff informed me that I had to provide them with $5700 (upfront) before they would put Beau back on his life-saving IV. Because of this and subsequent medical expenses, which now total up to more than $8500, I am asking for any help that you can give. Any donation no matter how small is very much appreciated after this unforeseeable and financially traumatic event.
