Help Bring Mom's Ashes Home

My Mom passed away on September 24th. I've been trying to get her home to Spartanburg for over a month now. My mother had life insurance but no will and she hadn't made any final arrangements prior to her death. Due to my half brother and half sister not being able to agree on funeral arrangements for my mother she now has been cremated by the Lancaster County Coroner's Office and the cremation cost of $1250 has to be paid before her remains can be released and her death certificate can be issued to start probate proceedings. I work as a chef at a local college and will be on a Thanksgiving furlough for a week at the end of this month and a two week furlough for Christmas break at the end of December and I'm trying hard to save money to cover the weeks I will be out of work and unfortunately I am unable to take this on by myself and since her life insurance wasn't used for a funeral it will now go through probate which means I can't use it to pay for her cremation. My mother does have a burial plot beside my father already paid for and I will have her ashes and her wedding jewelry interred after I collect her insurance. At this point I'm just trying to get her home. I hate to ask for help but I'm out of options and the two weeks without power after the hurricane wiped out what little savings I had. Anything is appreciated beyond what my words could express.
