Amanda's Fight Against Breast Cancer
Donation protected
I want to tell you about my mom, Amanda; she is a thoughtful, compassionate, warm-hearted wife, daughter, mom, grandma, and friend. She loves spending her free time crafting, cross-stitching, playing with her grandkids and dog and hanging out with her family. She has always been the one to help others, which lead her to a career as an Emergency Communications Operator (911 Police Dispatcher), where she helps people every day; it truly is her calling as career choices go.
Amanda was recently diagnosed with stage 2, grade 3, Triple Negative Breast Cancer. September 12, 2022, she started weekly chemo treatments for the next six months. There will also be treatment afterward, including surgery, immunotherapy and possibly radiation. However, the extent of those treatments will not be known until her oncologist checks to see how her breast cancer responds to the chemo.
I humbly ask for donations for my family as we're starting to see hardships. Her team of doctors has requested that she not work while undergoing chemo treatments, not to mention the amount of time my father will be taking off to support her through this process. Her "blue family" of law enforcement officers and dispatchers have kindly donated her enough sick time to get through her chemo treatments. However, my father does not have the amount of paid time off needed to help care for my mom on the days he goes to treatments and doctor appointments with her.
Any funds raised will be used for the lost income from my dad and the out-of-pocket expenses that insurance doesn't cover. We're hoping the goal set is the only amount needed.
We understand that times are financially challenging at the moment. If you cannot donate to this fundraiser, please help us spread the word and share this GoFundMe.
Prayers are also appreciated. Pray for Amanda to be healed, fortified, and forever rid of this unwelcome invader holding her body and life hostage. Pray for her physical and spiritual strength to overcome all the treatments she will face in the coming months.
Thank you for all your prayers, support, kindness, and for spreading the word to help raise these funds.
