Raph's Top Surgery

Hi, my name is Raphael, I'm a 20-year-old trans man and I'm raising money for top surgery! I came out as trans in 2016 but have been wanting to complete my social and medical transition for a lot longer than this. I've fully socially transitioned and managed to start T roughly 2.5 years ago, however, this has always been on and off as I have had no stable income, I've been off of T for roughly 6 months now as I simply can't fund it anymore. T, unfortunately, did not have as strong effects on me as it seems to for others, I still sound and look very feminine, only passing as male around 30% of the time so I feel like my next big step is top surgery and I'm prioritising funding this more as of right now. I've spent almost a decade using different methods to compress my chest, binders, trans tape, etc however none of these methods has been effective in alleviating the great amount of gender dysphoria I get from my chest and has also begun to cause me physical pain. The distress I experience from having an AFAB chest is extremely overwhelming and makes it hard to function daily, avoiding going out in case I'm perceived as a woman because of it, always insecure and disgusted by my own body, there is honestly nothing I want more than this surgery, to feel like myself.

I'm hoping to get top surgery with Dr Lembas in Warsaw, the cost for this is around £8000. I've therefor set the goal to £9000 to account for this, travel costs for getting to and staying in Poland, and the costs of obtaining a private gender dysphoria diagnosis needed so I can then pay for a private top surgery referral too as well as the travel costs for these appointments and any aftercare or follow-ups needed. I’m choosing to go for private surgery rather then nhs funded, as i did with my HRT, due to the extensive nhs gender identity clinic waiting times (I’ve been waiting 6 years and still haven’t been offered a first appointment). I also find private surgeons who are specialised in trans surgery’s to produce much more desirable results and would like the best outcome for my body :) 

The only supportive person in my family is my mother however she struggles with money severely, her only income being the few benefits the government currently offer, she is unable to work and can barely afford basic living costs as is. I personally have no income, I've been looking for work to fund myself but as a full-time college student with severe anxiety and as a neurodivergent individual this has been extremely difficult and it feels like my dream of being able to finally have top surgery is hopeless, thus I am asking for others' help :) if you can contribute anything it would mean the world to me or if you could take the time to share this page with others <3
