Assisting Peterson Family during Scotts Recovery

The Peterson Family were on their way to enjoy a week camping and boating at Flaming Gorge. They had pulled over and Scott went to the camping trailer to check on everything, and something exploded from inside the trailer right in his face and Scott’s whole body caught on fire as did the whole trailer. 5-6 more explosions occurred until the entire truck, trailer and all belongings were engulfed in flames.

20% of Scott’s body has been covered in 2nd degree burns and he’s currently residing in the Burn ICU after being evacuated by AIRMED . They haven’t determined if he will need skin grafts yet. He’s stable but in a lot of pain.

As they were taking their trailer for a week-long vacation, they decided to pack to the nines to make sure they had all the everyday basics. With that, they lost everything. Toiletries, bedding, clothes/shoes, electronics etc.

We are grateful Scott is alive and doing ok, but during this hard time, the family has a lot to do, and we are hoping to make things just a little easier while Scott is in recovery.
