Save A Family From Homelessness

Hi I’m Deirdre, I’m a Registered Nurse in the community. I have come across a family, who stumbled upon some impossible circumstances a couple years back, Nurse have been living in Oakville in a one single room hotel for 2 years. The family has 2 boys, a 16 year old and a 10 year old. They all share a single room to live , eat, and sleep in. The husband is a truck driver and wife is a long time Psw. Both parents work every shift they can, while still caring for the kids, but they’re paying the cheapest rent for the hotel they could find, which; is $97/day to house their family, on top of bills. They’ve been living like this for two years and are constantly facing eviction as the hotel wants to use the room for other purposes. Please help me help this family get enough money together for first and last months rent so they can find affordable housing. They are on a 3 year waiting list for public/subsidized housing, and don’t have much of a chance as there are other priority groups at this time. I will do whatever it takes to demonstrate that every dollar goes directly to providing safe and stable housing for this Mom, Dad and Two Boys. The parents are working so hard, yet are so defeated and there truly is no other way out for them, or any way to save any capital to get ahead. If I could do something personally I would; but I’m unable. I’m counting on the good nature and trust, and kindness of strangers to help this little group out of this hopeless spot their in, please help me! Please feel free to reach out incase anyone has any questions. Ask me anything at all! I’d be grateful to answer.
