We are so excited to be in the final planning stages for our long-awaited school playground. More than ever, our students need a space to gather, learn, and play outdoors. We have contracted with Learning Landscapes to create a playground that truly reflects our vision and connection to the Natural World. The site preparation is starting soon, we already have a playfield and log climbing structure built into our current budget. We need your help to purchase and install a few more of the key play structures. If we can meet our fundraising goal of $25,000, we will be able to include a double embankment slide, swingset, and a ball court in the Phase One build. We know the kids would LOVE to have these structures for the upcoming school year. Please contribute what you can and share this fundraiser with friends and family who would like to help.
Palouse Prairie Charter School is a free K-8 public school providing rigorous, joyful learning. As a credentialed EL Education School, we foster a spirit of inquiry, a persistence towards excellence, a responsibility for learning, and an ethic of service. Our students learn through authentic, interdisciplinary Expeditions, which ask them to investigate real-world questions and share high-quality products with a larger audience. In the last few years, our fourth graders have built a canoe for a regional tribal community, our sixth graders have advocated for affordable housing, and our second graders have developed brochures for the historical society -- and so much more.
