Help my Family Evacuate Gaza and Rebuild Their Lives

The reality on the ground for those of us watching can never be truly understood. As Palestinians living abroad with family in Gaza, we spend every moment on edge, because we know we can receive the worst news imaginable at any second. So far, I already have.

This is my only hope to save the rest of my surviving family.

My family has endured relentless bombings, getting caught in between intense fighting, and, like the rest of the Gazan population, had to flee their homes in the North to the South, where nothing but hunger, disease and the cold awaited them.

Some members managed to find apartments to live in, but others could only manage a tent, enduring the harsh winter amid constant bombing, still ongoing as you read this.

My family are incredibly resilient. They have survived so much, managing to cultivate an incredible life in Gaza through all of the difficulties they meet day in and day out for years.

But now, life is completely unlivable and they suffer through what you and I could never even imagine, let alone bear for more than a day. This still above constant bombings and a looming invasion into Rafah, giving none of us a moment’s relief from stress and worry.

Virtually all of my family's homes have been bombed, so even after the aggression stops, they would have no where to go home to.

My family deserve to live. They have proven their unflinching resolve for life. This is my last-ditch attempt to save them before the unthinkable happens.

My goal is to evacuate my family as soon as humanly possible to Egypt, and support them in their living when they do so.

The total amount needed for each adult to evacuate is around $5,000 USD, and $2,500 USD for a child. I hope to evacuate 24 people, totaling four different families.

Even if we don’t reach our goal, every bit counts in supporting my family and their futures, and rescuing them from one of the worst humanitarian crises of our time, so they can do what they have proven themselves beyond worthy of: to live, to grow, to thrive.
