Saving Salem

Hi I am trying to raise funds for my cat Salem. Salem is currently at the vet Hospital in Glasgow. He was a perfectly healthy happy cat with a Hyperthyroid condition. That was up until Sunday when he started to go off his food. Which for Salem is a big thing he LOVES his food.

So monday night when I got home from work he was still not really eating. So tuesday at work I booked the vet appointment and took him in that night. Vet was concerned and ran some blood tests. Thats when it all started to go down hill rapidly. Two days later he was reffered and admitted to Vets Now in Glasgow. They have found an enlarged gallbladder, signs of infection in his pancreas and his liver. They have taken samples of all of them and sent them off for testing.

I am a responsible pet orwner My boy is insured, but because of his hyperthyroid condition there are a lot of exclusions on his policy because he was diagnosed with the condition when I got him from Cats Protection. His vet bills at the moment stand at £1500.00 from my vet and estimated £8000.00 for Vets now. (Thats just covering up to Monday.) If they say his condition is not related to hyperthyroidisim his policy will pay out £4000.00 that leaves £5000.00 and rising that I need to find. I don't have that kind of money. I put the initial £1500.00 on my credit card which is now maxed out. I love my boy and I want to give him every chance and the vet hospital says if it is just an infection then he will recover.

If the policy will not pay out then I need to find £8000 at least and possibly more if they want to keep him in the hospital longer.

I hate asking for money and I know times are tight for everyone, but if you could donate anything or share his go fund me I would be VERY gratefull. He is a beautiful chatty boy. I will upload a copy of the vet bills so far for reference.
