Knee reconstruction ‍⚕️

Hi my name is Abbi and I’m raising funds to get a knee reconstruction.

this was my absolute last resort to make anything like this but it’s gotten to a point where I need this surgery sooner rather then later.

On the 17/6/2023 I was playing football when all of a sudden I heard a snap and fell instantly to the floor grabbing my leg. I was taken to hospital where they did an xray and told me I dislocated my knee cap. I was put in a splint for 6 weeks and sent me on my way. 6 weeks went by and I was still in pain everyday and now couldn’t bend my leg even 10 degrees so I went back to the drs. After asking for more scans and lots of misdiagnosing we found out that I ruptured my acl, meniscus, broke my knee cap and tore the other ligaments in my knee which has now required me to get 3 different surgeries done if I ever want a chance to go back to sport. I was put down as category 2 which means surgery ideally within 90 days but with it being the public system nothing is guaranteed. It has now been 500+ days I’ve been waiting for an operation on my knee and unfortunately they can’t guarantee it will happen anytime soon. Ive looked into getting it done privately but that’s going to cost about $18,000 which I just don’t have. Due to my knee injury it’s made me miss work, not be able to apply for the jobs I want as I struggle to do anything physical. I can barley exercise as I’m in chronic pain every single day, I can’t squat, kneel, bend my knee or just do basic everyday activities I should be able to do. Long story short I’m wanting to raise money so I am able to get my knee operation done privately so I can finally start getting my life back on track where I want it to be. It is going to be an 18 month recovery to go back to contact sport so I have a long road ahead
