Sleeping Giants Club Lacrosse Fund
Donation protected
We are the Sleeping Giants Lacrosse Club. Our team is made up of students that attend Quinnipiac University.
Our team competes in the National Collegiate Lacrosse League (NCLL) - a league for university club lacrosse teams around the country.
Unfortunately, Quinnipiac University does not recognize any club sports, thus, we are not allowed to use the school facilities, logo, colors, and even the school name.
What this means is that we are completely self-funded, students putting their own money into the team in order to pay for uniforms, equipment, off-campus facilities for practices and games, travel, league and referee fees.
Last year, our program made it to the National Tournament at Penn State. We had to pay over $2000 for transportation and lodging. More than half of our team (including some of our best players were not able to afford the fees and could not attend).
The funds that you donate will be used to help our program secure the facilites, travel, league and referee fees (uniforms have already been paid for using player's own funds.
We need the funds by February 28th (ideally) but anytime before April 28th would be amazing.
This program has grown so much from its inception in 2013. Last year, we were banned from using school facilities towards the end of our season. We were unable to practice and it hindered our performance in the national tournament. Your help would be unbelievably generous in helping us to be the best team in the league and help us secure the title of National Champions.
Thank you so much for your help!
