Save Hands On Exotics and their rescued parrots
Donation protected
Over the past decade, Hands on Exotics has been rehabilitating rescue animals while providing outreach and educational programs at nursing homes, schools and libraries across Ontario.
This year, due to COVID-19 Hands on Exotics has been unable to maintain our outreach and educational programming; unfortunately, without the funding from our programming, we're finding it very difficult to provide a forever home to our rescued parrots and other animals that live at our location.
We are asking for people to help us raise money so we can ensure that these animals are cared for with enriching environments, while we provide free online outreach and educational programs to help keep children and seniors engaged and educated.
With over 80 animals it can cost more than $10,000 per month.

Hands On Exotics offers a wide range of outreach programs including pet therapy at nearly 300 nursing/retirement homes, autism groups, and other special needs groups. We also offer a variety of education programs at local schools, libraries, and private events like fairs, and festivals.
The majority of animals in the program started out as pets living in private homes until their owners could no longer take care of them; others were seized by the SPCA or animal services from homes or other places that were not keeping them safe or legally.
