Vestival 13 - Bowls For Hope Fundraiser

Every year we have a Vestival, and even with the pandemic, we wanted to make sure it still happens, and we figured, while we're doing it, let's do some good. SO, Vestival 13, which will happen December 13th, at 8pm, will be an online live streaming event featuring Like Bears, and Lowercase Dream, with donations open that will go towards the Chilliwack Bowls of Hope society.

About Bowls of Hope

"Since 2005 the Chilliwack Bowls of Hope Society has operated the Feed the Children Program through the efforts of community-based volunteers, donors and Community Partners.

Our program currently provides soup, fruit and other hot lunch items to 23 schools within the Chilliwack School District. Through donations from businesses, community partners, and the public, 850 children in need receive over 17,000 bowls of soup each month.

The Feed the Children Program is making a big difference in the Chilliwack community. Studies have shown that increasing the amount of nourishment that a child receives improves their cognitive understanding, particularly their speed and accuracy of information retrieval in working memory. This results in higher academic achievement and correlates to improvements in behavior which decreases classroom interruptions, which benefits all students and teachers."
