UPDATE! We have saved the track but our work is not done!
Thank you for all your past support in saving the track! Without this community support, we would not have been heard. The track design and bidding process was a success and we’re on our way to a new soft track that will serve future generations of all ages in the community. The target date to have our new track completed is by June 2020!
This is an exciting time for the Rochester community and the youth of Olmsted County. Our team worked diligently with the Park Department Park Board and community members to save our historic track. Hard work and talent made this possible. Without this community support, we would not have been heard.
Our next step is to continue to raise money for the yearly maintenance fee of $3000-$5000 that the Rochester Track Club has committed to pay the City of Rochester yearly maintenance costs for the track.
We have a great start but need your help to maintain this important mission. The proceeds will be used to fund costs to maintain the new soft track while working in conjunction with the Rochester Park Department! How thrilling to ensure, with our efforts, that this track will be around for many years to come benefiting our children, grandchildren, and generations thereafter.
The Save the Track Organization is acting on behalf of the Rochester Track Club, which is the sole beneficiary of gifts received. Please continue to help with your generous donations and support in maintaining this historic adventure with our team!
P.S. - Keep watch for special fundraising events in the near future!
