Care for Carla

On March 10th, amidst a looming pandemic, 3 months after her baby boy was born, my beautiful sister Carla was diagnosed with a rare form of breast cancer called Triple Negative Invasive Ductal Carcinoma.
This shook our family to the core. If you are not familiar with this type of breast cancer, we urge you to read about it and understand why we have a big sense of urgency to get her the best medical care possible.  She started dose dense chemotherapy quickly only two weeks  after her diagnosis,  and will be done chemo in a couple of weeks!
We are so thankful that Carla has been tolerating chemo well, and thankful for her upcoming double mastectomy surgery in September. 
We give all praise to God that she is fairing well and her treatments are working! However, financially, this continues to grow more difficult. Because of the nature of this type of cancer that offers no specific targeted treatment and only works for 40% of women, we had to take matters into our own hands and seek additional treatments to ensure that chemotherapy and radiation would be as effective as possible to improve long term recovery and prognosis. And it's worked! And we want it to continue working, but the expenses are starting to pile up, and with a spirit of vulnerability,  we would like to ask for your help so my sister can reach a full recovery. Her upcoming double mastectomy and full axillary dissection is a life altering surgery that will require many modifications in her day to day life, and these expenses will only partially be covered. Furthermore, Triple Negative has quite a high recurrence rate, and we want to limit that high risk by implementing additional treatments to improve this outcome. I am highlighting where this money will go in full transparency: 
Post Mastectomy Camisole x2 =$150 (no coverage)
Mastectomy Recovery Compression Bras: $75 
Custom Made Lymphedema Sleeve and Glove: $700 (after coverage) 
Wedge Pillow: $30 
Hyperthermia Treatment: $9000 has already been spent with the help of family, but we still have $7500 worth of treatment to pay for (none of it covered)
Care Oncology Program: this is an American based Oncology treatment program that has shown high success in treating cancers effectively with off label drugs. Unfortunately, this is not available in Canada so it comes with a cost to Canadian patients. This is of course, an optional program, but we feel that the success of this program is too much to pass up for Carla's long term recovery, prevention of reocurrence, and survivorship. The cost of this program is 895US, but the center kindly discounted 15% so it works out to 600US one time enrollment, plus the meds every 3 months at $60-80, and $295US every three months for her follow up and care. 
Supplements: $100/month 
We know this is asking a lot, but we are hopeful that every little bit counts. If we don't make this goal, we are still grateful for any help as even a small amount is helpful and a show of grace. 
Please help us reach this goal so that Carla can have more peace of mind; so she can recover without the worry of economic ruin, and she can focus on getting healthy and being the already amazing mom she is to her two sweet babies. In my heart, she deserves so much more than this, but this will grant her so much help and it will help lift a burden that noone should have to carry at a time like this!
