Zinchenko Family

We deeply appreciate your (potential &) essential support for a Ukrainian family who we sponsored to move to Whitefish. Like us, you might be saddened and moved by the devastation and displacement of millions of people in Ukraine. The Whitefish-based Mountain Haven Sponsor Circle is helping to resettle one of those families. Yurii, Vitalina and Anastasia (age 3) Zinchenko moved to Whitefish with local support at the end of August 2022. Yurii and Vitalina, along with members of their extended family, lived their entire lives in the Eastern city of Kharkiv. They watched theirs beloved city grow in beauty and vibrancy until most recently, when it was tragically ravaged by war. They are incredibly grateful for the safety, welcome and support provided by their new Montana neighbors. We consider them to be a gift to us, to the wider community, and to others down the road. Any money raised is carefully managed by our Sponsor Circle. The stewardship of these funds and maximizing productive support for this family is of utmost importance to this local group. The core Sponsor Circle is comprised of 5 members who serve as a participatory board of directors , which oversees financing for rent, food, education, vocational preparation, medical care, etc. These efforts have been guided by a thorough application process and approved by the US government. This is a collective effort, including a wider circle of participants providing various types of hands-on and coordinated support. We are additionally seeking your support in the form of financial gifts as we continue to provide for the Zinchenko’s basic needs and integration. We are very fortunate to build relationships with this brave and beautiful family. ♥️
