Vasilios Psaromatis Memorial Fund
Donation protected
Our beautiful Vasilios Panagiotou Psaromatis, left us to be with God on November 3rd, 2015 at the young age of 13 after a year long struggle with brain cancer. He wanted to stay and he prayed for a miracle...but God's plan was to call him home. He dealt with the slow loss of his abilities without complaint. He found out how much he was loved and he shared with us how much he loved us. His two main loves were his family and his church, St. Nicholas. One day, as I drove him home from an afternoon cheeseburger and hair cut, he shared this with me. His words were soft and serious when he told me how sure he was of his faith. He wasn't a little boy as he sat there and told me...he was a man. He was strong. He was sure and steady.
In the months leading up to Vasili's last days, we discussed raising money in his honor to use to fund a church for his congregation. Our fear and sadness held us back as we watched him slowly fade away. But we need to come together. We need to make this all make sense. For this purpose, we have created a memorial fund where all donations will be used towards building the new church for St. Nicholas. If someone so young could inspire something so big, it would truly be a joy. Please donate in honor of Vasilios Panagiotou Psaromatis.
