Hi,

My name is Ruby Lee (deadname Casey Wyrembek) and I am a disabled veteran of the Iraq war and a transgender woman. I live on a fixed income and get my medical care through the V.A.

Unfortunately, the V.A. does not provide robust enough care to meet the needs of trans vets like myself. It also doesn't appear that they will be making any tangible changes to their policies any time soon.

Due to the failures of my insurance, I am trying to save and fundraise to cover the cost of my surgeries. I have attempted a crowdfunding campaign before on another platform with no success.

I struggle with increasingly extreme depression (and self-harm ideations) due to my dysphoria. I am going to need your assistance with reaching my goals.

Funds donated to me will go into my savings account to pay for needed procedures once I have enough to afford them and get them scheduled.

I am hoping to raise enough money to cover one or all of the needed procedures which I am seeking. Donations are for Facial Feminization Surgery, Orchiectomy, and Body Contouring and related expenses like travel.

As this campaign goes on I will post about any contributions received, money saved, and information learned. I will post about doctors, costs, appointments, etc. to keep everyone in the loop about my progress.
