Facing eviction in days

Hello, my name is Louis Marzullo. I'm 57 (58 on Sept 1) & like many folks these days, I've run into some hard financial times. I've fallen behind on my rent & am facing eviction this month (Aug). I have been taking care of my wonderful mother, Matilde (now 93) at home since Feb, 2018. I lost my part-time job in Nov, 2020 due to the Covid-related economic downturn. The vitamin company I was with had been letting me work mostly from home, making sales calls, so things were OK. Then Covid hit, sales plunged & I was let go. New ownership eventually took over and they were not interested in hiring me back. I had been with that company for over 12 years. Mom's needs have increased with each passing year (naturally) & I do pretty much everything for her now. It's a full-time job, 365 days a year. There's nothing on Earth I'd rather be doing than taking care of this dear woman, to whom I owe my life & everything good in it. But it doesn't leave much time or energy for much else at this point. Moving would be extremely difficult, as we don't have the money for moving costs, security deposit & first month's rent for a new place. Plus, Mom has mental health issues that could worsen in a new environment. She has been very comfortable & content where we currently are. My sister's family has helped but there's only so much one small family (in our case) can do and they've had their own struggles recently with the passing of my brother-in-law. I've cut costs as many ways as I could think of: filed & was approved for chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2021, cable TV is long gone (replaced by an indoor antenna for Mom), as is my car (needed a bunch of repairs, donated it to VA), visit local food bank once a month, lowered electric & phone bill significantly, emptied out & closed my paid storage unit. And I will continue to pray for & seek some kind of part-time at-home employment that would pay me just enough to let us keep our apt but not interfere with Mom's care. Not easy to find (any offers?). Well, that's about it. Good wishes & blessings to all who read this. Thank you for taking the time. Be well!
