Hi, My name is Sarah Groh. I'm trying to raise money for my father Bradford Justice's Medical bills in the Philippines. He is a Retired Police Office with the Hamilton County Sheriffs department and Bomb Squad and a United States Navy Veteran. Father of 4, Grandfather of 6 soon to be 7 grandkids and a loving devoted husband of 38 years. In January 2022 my parents relocated to the Philippines after both retiring. Friday evening his blood sugar spiked to 562. After going to the local hospital they had to relocate him to another hospital in Kalibo. While there he had two seizers and was placed on a ventilator. His heart rate dropped to the 20's. After a CT and an Echo to rule out a stoke and brain damage due to the strokes, CT was cleared but we believe he's has a heart attack and has an artery blockage. He need a coronary angiography and a pacemaker. Unfortunately the hospital he is currently at does not do that and he needs to be transferred to another hospital that is three hours away. We have to pay everything upfront before they will transport him or give him the help he desperately needs. Please help in any way you can! Every bit helps!! Please share this with as many people as you can.
My father is the most giving, Loving, Helpfully person I've ever met. He went above and Beyond to help his community his whole life... now I'm Begging his Community to help save his life!
UPDATE: Thank you all who have helped out in any way! Donating, sharing, prayers, words of encouragement have all meant more than you know to our family! My dad was transferred to a different better hospital. He had an emergency Coronary Angiogram and a temporary pacemaker put in. They talked about the possibility of a stint and Balloon Angioplasty but luckily after getting in there they didn't need it. Between the Heart attack, seizers and blood sugar spikes it put a lot of strain on his heart. His heart muscles are very weak. He's on Medication to try to help out and he is still on a ventilator. He's currently in the ICU recovering and being monitored. I'll make more updates when I get them. Please continue to keep him in your thoughts and prayers! If you can donated and share please do. He's not completely out of the woods yet. He's still has a long road of recovery to go. Our ultimate goal is to get him stable and get him home as soon as possible.
UPDATE 2: He's officially off the ventilator!! He has Pneumonia is on antibiotics so hopefully that will clear up soon. Hopefully will be getting off some of the other medications within the next couple days. He will be monitored for a couple weeks. If there is no improvements they will need to put in a permanent pacemaker. Over all He is moving in the right direction!!
My Mom and Dad were supposed to be traveling back to the United States tomorrow (Wednesday the 25th) but obviously that will not be happening. We had to cancel those tickets and unfortunately they did not get flight insurance on them. We will have to purchase new tickets back to the United States when My Dad is cleared to travel. We are almost at our goal of 15K which should cover his medical expenses their and flights back home. It's amazing and truly humbling how many people have and continue to donate to help My Father and My Family. It goes to show what an incredible impact this wonderful person has on so many people. We are forever Grateful!!
UPDATE 3: He is improving everyday!! My dad had to have a medical procedure done to remove a growth that was on the back of his head. Trying to remove anything that could cause an infection that will slow his recovery. He's sore but over all looking good. Still taking a nebulizer through out the day to help with the pneumonia . BP as of last night was at 115/71. Blood sugar levels were at 160. Hopefully, they will be moving out of ICU soon!! He will be moved to a different room to recover and do rehab to get him mobile again. Best news of all is that My dads heart rate is maintaining around 83 without the pacemaker!! All around making huge leaps in the right direction! Got to talk to him last night. (voice is still very very rough) He is in high spirits and is extremely grateful and overwhelmed by the amazing love and support he has received by all of you! We all are! Still has a long road ahead but every day he gets stronger!
