In a world where bombs replace raindrops and the roar of warplanes replaces lullabies, my children are growing up surrounded by fear and loss.

My name is Mohammed, a father from Gaza. I have two children: Yafa (5 years old) and Fahd (1 year and 9 months). They were born into war and displacement, knowing neither safety nor stability. Instead of toys and bedtime stories, their days are filled with explosions, hunger, and uncertainty.

Nearly two years ago, we were forced to flee Rafah, and since then, my family and I have been living in tattered, worn-out tents. These shelters do not protect us from the cold of winter, the heat of summer, or the rain that seeps through every tear in the fabric. Each day is a struggle just to survive.

The war has taken everything from us — our home, our work, and our sense of security. Food prices are extremely high, making it difficult to provide even the most basic meals for my children. Medical expenses are another heavy burden, especially with limited access to proper healthcare in Gaza.

Amid all this hardship, my wife is pregnant. While this should be a moment of joy, it is instead filled with fear. I worry constantly about how I can protect my children and provide a safe future for them in a place where life itself is under threat.
