Getting Mason Home
Donation protected
I am the wife of Mason Cappiello so Feb.22, 2023 I received a phone call from a lady telling me my husband was just involved in a motorcycle accident to get to the scene quick. He just got off of work and was literally 2 minutes from our home when a truck pulled out in front of an suv which caused them to slam brakes and of course my husband had to slam his brakes to avoid hitting the suv in front of him well he went up on his front tire and when the bike went back down his back tire locked causing him to drop his bike and he slid into a ditch when I got to the scene and rushed to my husband he looked at me and said baby I can’t feel my legs. My heart dropped but I prayed for the best. They rushed him to Lafayette general where they informed us that he shattered C-6 in his neck. He is now paralyzed from his nipple down and has no movement in his hands. He was in icu for 1 1/2 mths where he ended up getting a stage 4 bedsore, he also coded 3 times and now has a pace maker. They then sent us to ltac for a mth and now we are in New Orleans at touro for extensive physical therapy. We have in total been in the hospital for 4 mths I have been by his side. Myself nor him have worked in 4 mths medical bills and of course our everyday bills are piling up. This is something I wouldn’t normally do but anything would help at this point and time. We are set to be released June 27th and we have no money no income we have applied for disability and still haven’t received an answer and quite honestly I really don’t know what I’m doing with this go fund me maybe I’m just trying to really get his story out my husband was a very hard working man trying to build a good life for us and in the blink of an eye that was all taken away from him. So what I’m saying is if no one can donate please just say a few prayers for us and some well wishes my husband has a very long hard road in front of him. Thanks for your time and appreciate all of you.
