With heavy hearts, we share that Jesse has passed. His light and goodness will continue to shine in all of us who were fortunate enough to know him and beyond. We ask that you continue to hold Jesse’s loved ones close in your hearts. Your overwhelming support, love, and kindness has been a tremendous source of strength for his family and friends. We extend our deepest gratitude to our community for standing by them. Your compassion and generosity have made a profound difference, and they are forever thankful for your unwavering support. Dear Friends and community,

We come to you with a heartfelt prayer and request for support for Jesse Owens, a member of our community and Pennridge High School Graduate Class of 2021.

Jesse was seriously injured on Friday, August 2nd and has suffered severe brain trauma. He is on life support and is waiting on transport from GrandView Hospital to UPenn for specialized care. Jesse's mother, Kristin, is a very dear friend and a talented chef who dedicated many years working as our Sous Chef at The Perk. She has been there for our community, sharing her culinary talents and amazing spirit. Now we want to support Jesse, Kristin, and their family during this challenging time.

As a mother, Kristin's love for her son is of course boundless, and witnessing her child in such a helpless state is unimaginably heartbreaking.

Jesse's family is staying hopeful that the love and support of our community and God, will see him to a full recovery. The funds raised through this campaign will go towards helping Jesse and his family with any emergency funds needed, medical expenses, or providing any necessary support for his family for whatever they need as they stay by his side. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in their journey so they can focus on being with Jesse. Please continue to pray for a miracle.
