7Oaks (SEVEN OAKS) Flood Relief
Donation protected
The small and very tight knit community of Seven Oaks CA with only 32 full time residents has been devastated and torn apart by Hurricane Hilary. The force of the water that ran through the campgrounds and some of the homes is absolutely unimaginable.
What everyone down there has lost is irreplaceable. Homes, a sense of safety, comfort, and the family they have all created amongst themselves is all gone. Time and time again these people have had to evacuate and endure natural disaster after natural disaster and to put it simply it is just not fair. No one should have to go through any of it especially not repeatedly but these people love where they live and the others that live there as well.
These residents are strong willed and incredible after the flood on Valentine's Day 2019 they did not retreat they rebuilt, stayed family and kept the love alive. I fear that will not be the case this time around. The damage is more than 100 times greater than then and the loss is as well. What they went through was too much for anyone let alone a community that has already suffered time and time again.
Since I know not a single resident would ever ask for help, assistance, or any type of aide in any way My family has teamed up with The Oaks restaurant to ask for them.
All of the money raised will be transferred to a neutral party and 100% divided up to each of the residents this tragedy has effected to do with however they please. Whether they choose to replace, rebuild, or move on and start over is up to them and no one else. There is no flood insurance that will save them there is no FEMA coming to the rescue and there is no one that will be able to give any of them what they have lost.
As a former resident of this amazing place that is still very near and dear to my heart and with immediate family still living in the area I am at a total loss and just want to help in any way possible.
Our hearts are with these displaced individuals and families as well as their loved ones in this very dark and hard time when they have no access to their homes, cars and belongings that were left behind due to them being air lifted out and only being allowed to bring so much with them and some who lost everything and had nothing to even bring. Knowing that Seven oaks campground and resort will never be the same again is heartbreaking but we must remain...
SEVEN OAKS STRONG!!
