Ultimate Hike in support of CureSearch
Donation protected
I am participating in The Ultimate Hike on Saturday, June 28th on the Foothills Trail along the NC/SC border. The hike is 28.3 miles in support of CureSearch to raise funds for cancer research for children. Specifically, I am doing this to support Craig Winter, my cousin's 4 year old son, who was diagnosed 18 months ago with a rare form of spinal tumors called gliomas. He has been dealing bravely with multiple rounds of surgery, chemotherapy and recurring visits to hospitals in Rochester, NY (Strong Memorial/Golisano Children's Hospital near where he lives) as well as Boston, MA (the Dana Farber Clinic) to see specialists that have been working with him.
He has faced all this with incredible bravery and a smile that would light up a room (and your heart!). I would love to surpass my goal and double it if I can to help raise funds to support cancer research for Craig and the thousands of children like him dealing so courageously with similar illnesses. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support!
