"Portrait Of Lupus"
Donation protected
I am a Lupus Sufferer/Survivor and I am also a Photographer. I I have been diagnosed with Lupus over Twenty years. Three years ago I became disabled and have struggled with my disease trying to find something that works long term for treatment and gain some sort of normalcy of my life back. I have been encouraged by many to continue giving back with my art and find a way to use it for a greater purpose. After spending 10 days recently in the hospital and very ill, I emerged with a new diagnosis of a heart conditon and more SLE problems to manage. I want to be able to tell my story and that of many other Lupus Survivors through the art of photography. Butterflies and Purple are symbols of Lupus. I want to put together a book of art of Lupus patients made into fine art butterflies like the example of the one I have posted. Next to their picture I would like to publish their own story in their own words. They would take away with them a print that would be given to them and be part of a publication for fund raising. This takes "money to print and publish, which I do not have." I am disabled and come from modest means. I want to donate 100% profit back to Lupus LA. Please help me make this project happen. The money I raise will initally be for publishing and printing, but once they are for sale, all profits and any excess of donations will go to Lupus LA.
