Send Books to Africa

In Africa, many schools struggle to teach students with inadequate supplies. There are often less textbooks than children in a class, and many schools and villages have no libraries for students to turn to. For instance, a 2016 UNESCO study found that 12 students shared 1 reading book, and 14 students shared 1 math textbook. This severely hinders students’ ability and speed of learning, and affects the access to opportunities in the job market. 


Books For Africa is the largest shipper of books and textbooks to Africa. Since 1988, they have shipped over 50 million books to 55 countries. It takes about $16.75 to send a box of books to the warehouse in Georgia, and $0.50 to send each book from there to Africa. 


There is so much this community has done. Over the last 2 weeks, we have collected an estimate of 9,000 children's books, textbooks, medical books, SAT and ACT study books, and novels. We are amazed by the outpouring of generosity we have seen. Please help us raise enough to send all of these!
