Nisa's Vet Bill
Donation protected
Nisa is our 11 -year-old Pembroke Welsh Corgi. She is very sweet, but very mischevious. It seems she ate something toxic that inflamed her liver to at least double it's size. After two days with the vet where no one was sure if she would even make it, she is back home, but she brought with her an $1800 vet bill.

In addition to the up-front cost of the vet bill, we still have to care for Nisa. She has about a dozen bottles of pills she gets 4 times a day, for now. She is on a special diet to be easy on her liver, including prescription food. She wil be going back to the vet, our most excellent and wonderful vet, often to have check ups and blood work for at least a couple months.
Nisa is hopeful.
We love her to little pieces, so we are happy to pay it now that she is back and healthy, but we are also not rich. Every time we have a decent amount in savings, along comes Nisa to kick it out from under us. So we are back to the starting point again. With Angela in school (and still working two part-time jobs for 32 hours a week) and Abe working three part-time jobs, we are making enough to live but have nothing if anything else happens. And with Nisa it will. She has Addison's in addition to all this, so she is a very expensive dog.

Nisa has been an important part of our lives. She has helped Abe when in the throes of depression and even on a regular basis brings joy to our lives. We got her a year after we started dating, so nearly our entire life as a couple has involved Nisa. We hope to have many more years with her.
Nisa paying attention and Ernie asleep in the back. This is Nisa feeling good.
Nisa sends her thanks in advance.
