Morris Family

Hello Everyone,

My name is Tayla, I have created this GoFund me account on behalf of the beautiful Morris family, to help ease the financial pressure whilst Leonie’s husband David is being cared for in ICU at the Royal Melbourne Hospital after going into cardiac arrest on August 23rd.

On the 27th of July David went into emergency for a diabetic ulcer on his foot, he was admitted into hospital for 1.5 weeks and during that stay he had 3 procedures done on his foot. Once home everything was going well, the wound was healing well and nurses and doctors were happy with how everything was going.

Unfortunately on the 23rd of August he had a fall at home and his family called 000, David had shortness of breath and saying he was feeling hot, luckily the fire brigade & ambulance arrived shortly after the phone call was made, but as they arrived David became unconscious, emergency services worked on David for 30 minutes, with 18 of those minutes David had no heartbeat, once resuscitated David, he was placed into an induced coma and rushed to the Royal Melbourne Hospital.

The Drs have now found that David suffered from a Pulmonary Embolism, and during his cardiac arrest episode David has unfortunately suffered from a series of strokes.
