Help Pootie Poo!

Meet Capone aka Pootie. He's a loving and gentle old-soul who loves belly rubs, long walks by the lake, and of course being greedy lol. Over the past 12 years, Pootie never fails to bring laughter and joy to our home with his creepy stares and charismatic singing.

Pootie’s medical issues started several years ago when he was diagnosed with Cushing’s Disease. After several tests, we thankfully found a medicine that supports his condition and we began seeing improvements. Last year, he was diagnosed with a Stage 2 heart murmur but Pootie continuously persevered. Most recently, it was discovered that Pootie has a tumor on his left anal gland which requires the utmost attention. It has been increasing in size and may continue to do so, potentially obstructing his anal passage and making it uncomfortable for him to poo. If we don’t act soon it will grow to the point where Pootie can’t poo at all.

Recently, at great cost, we learned that Pootie is eligible to receive surgery to remove the tumor after receiving several tests including an Ultrasound, Chest Radiograph, and Cytology Test. Because of his age, the surgeon requests we proceed with having the tumor removed as soon as possible. This comes at an even greater cost, and any contribution no matter the amount, would be a major blessing to our family.

For those who know Capone, they know how much love he brings to our little family. We hope to keep his gentle spirit, gazey stares, and melodious howls, echoing through our home for many years to come.

All Donations of this GoFundMe will go towards Pootie’s surgery and any remaining funds will be donated to the Rockwall Adoption Center to aid in their efforts by providing food, medicines and toys for pets they care for. We hope to make this fundraiser as successful as possible to assist with not just Capone but with all of our furry friends in the community.
