Help Nour and Her Family Find Safety
About the Campaign
My dear friend, Nour Al-Madhou, is a loving Palestinian wife and mother who is currently homeless due to the devastating Israeli invasion of Gaza. Nour and her family have been displaced seven times, constantly on the move to escape the ever-encroaching military presence and bombs raining from the sky.
Meet Nour's Family
Nour Al-Madhou: A resilient and loving mother and wife.
Three daughters:
Mira, aged 2
Twin babies, only 9 months old, born amidst the chaos.
The Crisis in Gaza
The situation in Gaza has reached a critical point, with thousands of families like Nour's facing unimaginable hardships. The ongoing conflict has led to a humanitarian disaster, with widespread destruction and a dire lack of resources.
Current Conditions
Widespread Displacement: Thousands of Palestinian families have been forced to flee their homes due to intense and relentless military operations. Many have been displaced multiple times, facing constant uncertainty and fear.
Lack of Basic Necessities: Access to food, clean water, and medical supplies is severely limited. With infrastructure destroyed, even basic needs become a daily struggle.
Overcrowded Shelters: Many displaced families are forced to live in overcrowded conditions, often in makeshift shelters with little protection from the elements or further attacks.
Psychological Trauma: The constant threat of violence and the instability of being repeatedly displaced have taken a severe toll on the mental health of adults and children alike.
Nour's Struggle
Nour and her family have experienced the worst of these conditions. They have been displaced seven times, each move more harrowing than the last. The family of 12, including three young children, has faced immense challenges in securing safety, food, and shelter. Nour's twin babies, born amidst this turmoil, have known nothing but chaos and instability. The 12 of them are currently all sharing a single tent that costed over $1,200 to obtain, in the woods, having to travel daily to get food and water.
Nour once wrote to me, "My 2 year old daughter was beautiful and shiny before the war but now she is afraid all day and night and my heart breaks when I cannot buy her a healthy food."
The Cost of Safety
The cost to evacuate just one adult from Gaza is $5,000, and it costs roughly $2,500 per child. This makes it nearly impossible for a large family to escape without assistance. Nour and her husband are determined to find safety for their daughters, but they need your help.
Our Goal
We aim to raise enough funds to bring Nour and her family to safety. This GoFundMe campaign hopes to gather the necessary resources to provide them with a stable and secure environment until they can return to their homeland.
How You Can Help
Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a significant difference. Your donation will go directly towards:
Evacuation Costs: Ensuring that each family member can be transported safely out of the conflict zone.
Basic Needs: Providing food, shelter, and medical care for Nour, her husband, and their children.
Future Security: Helping to establish a temporary home where the family can find peace and stability.
