Lung Cancer Treatment for Jody

This fundraiser is for my friend Jody. She is a mother of 2 boys and she is currently going through a rough time. Last September she lost her job because she was losing her sight due to cataracts. As a part-time employee she was not eligible for health benefits. Navigating the online forms for disability while slowly losing your vision is a nightmare. After losing her job she came down with COVID. Relying on family and friends she has been able to keep her room and food on the table for now. Her sons have helped and continue to help; however, she knows the financial burden it places on them and their families. In January, she was recently diagnosed with lung cancer and has been going through treatment. She applied and was denied disability multiple times. Now that she has been approved the funds won't be issued until June and she doesn't have any indication when it will start hitting her account. Jody doesn't like asking for help; however, if she doesn't she will be evicted from her room just weeks away from getting the funds she so desperately needs. Won't you please give $5 or more to help her survive?

4/25 - Jody was able to pay her rent this week. Thank you to everyone who donated. It's these small victories that bring tears of happiness to everyone involved. Please share this with your friends and families. The more who interact with it the more it is seen by others not on Jody's immediate friends list. We need to make sure she has enough money to pay her weekly rent so she doesn't lose her home.
