Healing for Halcie

Donation protected
In December 2021 at the age of 30, Halcie was diagnosed with Stage 4 Glioblastoma brain cancer. This news was a lot to take in and completely life changing, but after surgery, chemo and radiation, the tumor shrank considerably and Halcie started receiving stable scans. The Wethingtons finally started settling in to their new normal when this week (June 18, 2024) Halcie’s latest MRI scan showed that the brain tumor had grown and she needed to have surgery 48 hours later and she will also need more chemo and likely a clinical trial and another round of radiation. While this is a daunting set back, the Wethingtons are once again moving forward in faith and confidence. They have three young kids: Molly (8), Ellie (6) and Peter (3). We are hoping to raise funds to help offset medical costs as their insurance has given some push back and they are expected to pay many things out of pocket now. Halcie's chemo and medicine is not covered by their insurance. We would also love to raise enough to be able to hire a regular cleaning service to offset some of the challenges in running the day to day aspects of the home as the recovery from this surgery and treatment will be a long road once again. I know so many have reached out wanting to help and we are so thankful for this strong community they are surrounded with. Please continue to pray for Halcie's complete healing as well as comfort and strength for John and the kids. -Amy Horne (John's sister)
