Friend in need

Sadly, we lost our dear neighbor Maddy Meyers. Maddy was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off her back, take it back after you've worn it, wash it and give it right back to you. She's helped so many people over the years, treating everyone she knew as family. Maddy was very energetic loved her garden & pets, but her family & friends most of all. For the 30 years, we were neighbors, she treated me and referred to me as her adopted son. Stood by me through tough times & helped me raise my two kids as if they were her own.

I have noticed these same traits in her exceptional family, especially her youngest son Derek. He has taken loving care of her over the years, particularly in the last few months when he has selflessly left his job to provide her care while her health diminished. But unfortunately, Derek was denied compassionate care leave benefits and has had no income for several months. Now on top of the loss of his mother, he is facing financial difficulty. So we kindly ask if you can donate to help him out in this time of need; Derek would greatly appreciate it. He is not the type of guy to ask for help, even if he needed it, as he currently does, so we kindly ask on his behalf.
