Out of the flood

We are asking for help.
As many already know, but some do not, we have been having flooding issues at our house that have been consistent since 2008. Now, the past couple months the water level has increased again covering our whole yard and driveway and some of the water has crept into our garage and breezeway. The water was deep enough that you could set sail on a journey by putting a small boat in the yard and sail from the front door to the mailbox.
Our Mom is in an electric wheelchair and even though the house is livable, there are still some challenges we have faced as mom’s MS has progressed. We modified the house for her with an accessible bathroom and a ramp from the house to the garage. This has been a positive addition to the house so that she can go out into the world and not limit what she can do. This water and flooding now limits her abilities. It has taken a toll on both our mom and dad’s mental health to be living in this house between working a full time job, and trying to find solutions. They don’t qualify for any assistance from the village, state or federal governments, leaving our parents to feel like they are on their own. The whole family was together on a weekend in October which boosted morale for a little bit. Around that time our parents had to move into a hotel for a week and a half to wait for the water to naturally come down.
Many have already shown a lot of emotional support, and have asked how to help. Recently a community member offered their labor by adding more gravel to our driveway which is a temporary solution and makes it easier to access in and out of the house, but now we have accumulated additional expenses.
We are asking for help. We created a gofundme page to raise funds for these unexpected expenses. Please consider donating to help us reach our goal. No donation is too small, this will alleviate the financial and emotional stress on our family.
