James Lu's Funeral Fund

Donation protected
James Lu was born on April 6th, 1999.  He was a wonderful person, with the knowledge and ambition that was supposed to bring him far in life.  He was an outstanding baseball player, story writer, musician, and friend. He went on to attend UC Santa Barbara where he would study bio to go on to premed.  On March 9th, James's life was taken prematurely in a motorcycle incident on campus. He was pronounced dead shortly after the accident.

James's unique character and intellect brought him many friends. His calling for adventure and exploration was contagious and he would often go off the trail and make his own path to the finish line. He was so down to earth and easy to talk to, he made anyone his friend.  His generosity and kindness went far and touched everyone in his life. Even on his last day he was going to teach children how to play the piano.`

We, his friends, feel a great loss, but there are no words to describe what his family are going through right now.  We want to raise money for James’s funeral in support for his mother, father, little brother and sister, and Seraph. We hope that this GoFundMe will take some of the weight off his family.

The funds will be given to Mr and Mrs. Lu in person, in cash or check form.
The funeral will be held on Sunday 3/18 at Pacific View Memorial Park in Corona Del Mar @ 2pm open to anyone that can come.

**** Official date of funeral- Sunday 3/18

Update-
For those of you who are wondering who the beneficiary is for this campaign, Michael Tsay is my father. Since I am a minor he will be helping me withdraw the money so we can give it to James’s family

Update 2-  Since GoFundMe won't allow withdrawals until a week has passed after setting up the withdrawal info.  I will be withdrawing the money by Wednesday and delievering the check to the Lu's on Thursday.

Update 3-  donations will close once we stop recieving donations/comments for a couple days in a row.  I want to give more time to those people who want to show their support and who want to shair their thoughts and stories about James.

Thank you guys so much for raising over $12,000.  It is really touching to see how many people James has touched in his life and that all of you have come to lend a helping hand in this time of need.
