Cancer sucks

Hi I rescued Rocko from Golden Retreiver Rescue of Florida on April 1, 2023. I feel like I was given a wonderful gift. He is the absolute sweetest, funny, loving dog. I believed I hit the jackpot. Still do. I immediately took Rocko for a vet check and all was good. We began our lives together along with Rosie. A couple of weeks later I took Rocko to the vet because he was scratching at his ear. During this exam the Doctor noticed a growth that she said was not there 2 weeks prior near his butt. It was near his anal gland but not in the anal gland. They did a needle biopsy as she was concerned because it had appeared quickly. Those results were inconclusive so they did another one. This one was positive for sarcoma. An invasive cancer. We immediately set up the appointments for ultrasounds, X-rays and bloodwork. An appointment was schedule with a surgeon. Well we had that appointment today. Surgery is scheduled for 6-5-23. Sarcoma can be fast growing and invasive. Because of the location they may need to take his beautiful Golden tail. Margins are a problem because of the tumor location. That is why they are also recommending radiation. I don't want to do that. It's very hard and painful . So I have this beautiful carefree lizard chasing dog who follows me everywhere. I know there are a lot more worthwhile causes out there. But this soul came to me for a reason. I am meant to give him a chance. He rescued me just as much as I rescued him. So if you can help we would be grateful. Either way I am helping him. I will attach all the estimates and the bills I have paid so far.

This isn't the total of Rockos medical care. I didn't include the Cat Scan and follow up treatments and possible radiation. . If I can raise this I will pay the other 1/2.
