Family home and pets lost in fire

Hi my name is Bridget Hecker, this fundraiser is for my father, John Hecker. He lived at the old Jarema farmhouse on Romaniak Rd in Boyne Falls. The home was built in the early 1900's by my great grandparents, Leon and Paraska Jarema and the farm house was a place of fond family memories for many people in my family over the years. Some hot coals from the wood stove caught fire on dry straw outside of the house on a windy day and the fire consumed the house before anything could be done about it. The home and everything in it is gone. My heart is broken into a million pieces. 2 cats, my sweet angel Mora who I've had for I've had for 15 years and my sisters cat Leon, did not make it out, but fortunately 1 cat, Stu, did survive with only burnt whiskers. My father made it out with nothing but the clothes on his back. I was not there when the fire happened but was staying there so all of my possessions were lost as well. I was working on starting a cnc business and all of my computer equipment, software, files, tools and milling equipment were in the upstairs bedroom. My great grandma June made beautiful quilts which are gone now as well. Those will not be able to be replaced, but I am making this go fund me to help my father get back on his feet. He did not have homeowners insurance so this will be a process of starting over from scratch. The first step is getting a new power line and water supply since those were destroyed. Any funds donated will go toward rebuilding the infrastructure to get something new built. My hope is one day, something new can be built in memory of the farmhouse.
