This is to inform you that my son, a 41 year old New Orleans native, Lamar Anthony Ford was brutally murdered in an unprovoked shooting while sitting on his front step last Friday during one of my shopping runs in the late morning. The details are incomplete as police are still investigating. Lamar was mentally challenged, but was regularly assisting me with Foundation matters. We have no understanding of who would have done this and why, if you have any information please inform the police. The funerals will be held on Friday August 19, 2022 at House of Faith Non-Denomination Ministries, 1320 Elysian Fields Ave, New Orleans, LA 70117 at 11:00am, Overseer Prophetess Christiana Ford.
Then, on Saturday August 20, 2022, in Waterproof, LA at Oakwood Baptist Church for 11:30am. Internment at Waterproof Louisiana’s Ford Family Plot.
A GoFundMe page is available. We appreciate everything my personal family, Facebook family and the New Orleans community as a whole has done for us, the Silence the Violence Foundation and the House of Faith Non-Denominational Ministries congregation over the years. Please pray for us as we strive to make it through this trying time.
Sincerely,
Pastor Ford
