Donations for a Degree

Hello friends, family and any other incredible human beings who are taking the time to view this page and read my story...
I think first it is important to understand where I am and secondly to understand where I want to go:
My name is Colleen, I am a Senior at La Sierra University and am in my last quarter of college. I am SO close to finishing my Bachelor's Degree in Art, as in 78 days away from today!
I know what you're thinking.. 'What in the world are you going to do with an Art degree?' Well, two things are very important to me when pursuing a career. Are you passionate about it? Is it benefiting others besides yourself?
I think I have found a career that fulfills both of these aspirations: Art Therapy. My end goal is to receive my Master's in Art Therapy and then to work in a Children's Hospital with children suffering from chronic and terminal illnesses.
You cannot put a price on the feeling that you get when you accomplish a goal you have been working so hard to achieve. Nor can you give a price to the experiences and knowledge that you gain throughout your years spent in college. Unfortunately, there IS a price tag on a college education.
This last quarter of my undergraduate career I am overloading on units in order to graduate this upcoming June and this of course means even MORE money. I find myself owing just under $3000 in order to earn my degree.
If you know me, you know that asking for help is not one of my strong suits. Making this page has taken a lot of thought and humbling consideration. This is me asking for help: I know that this amount of money will put a considerable strain on my family. I do not want my goals and my dreams to be a burden any more that they are already.
In 78 days I hope to walk across the stage and receive my diploma, but without paying this balance that dream will not become a reality. Any amount of donation is one that I would be eternally grateful for. Like the wise Beatles once said, "I get by with a little help from my friends.." and I hope that some of you can lend a hand in this journey of mine.
Much Love & Much Thanks
