Amazon Rainforest Fire

The Amazon Rainforest is burning. Back on 15 April 2019 the Notre Dame in Paris went up in flames, shocking the entire world. Thousands of people gathered as they watched this ancient building collapse right in-front of them, feeling lost, helpless and saddened.

This event shocked hundreds into action, triggering campaigns and donations to flood in, billionaires, corporations and ordinary citizens alike all contributing to the funds, raising over $1billion total to rebuild.

Now only 4 months later the Amazon Rainforest is ablaze, receiving little to no media attention yet still touching the hearts of people around the world.

Much like the Notre Dame fire people feel at a loss, with no real way of being able to help the situation to many is out of their control.

Which is why, we are raising money to help in any way we can, replanting trees or helping civilians affected. Although this blaze is not unique in itself, what is unique is the scale. Brazil’s National Institute for Space Research (INPE) reported that there had been more than 72,000 fires in Brazil in 2019, an 80% increase compared to the same period from 2018, with scientists warning it could strike a devastating blow to the fight against climate change.

The Amazon rainforest fires were largely blamed on two things: loosened environmental restrictions (leading to deforestation) and global warming.

So, every donation helps, no matter how small. This is a cause that we all need to get behind, it's time a change was made.

Do you want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money in aid of WWF - UK and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
