Aid for Calais refugees

We are part of a network of groups who are desperately trying to bring relief to the refugees in Calais. Men, women and children who have fled war torn countries in desperation, only to find themselves in the most awful conditions imaginable. Dire living conditions, police brutality and hostility are awaiting... Some women have given birth on this perilous jouney for 'refuge'. Their plight is inconcievable.

Why should we help? Regardless of your political stance on immigration EVERY human being has the right to food, clothing and shelter. It is a basic human right that can be met with basic human kindness - from those who are able to assist. A small contribution from us will have very little impact on our daily lives but it will have a huge effect on theirs..
